Thrive

Thrive was seen as a filly in a Hawkes Bay paddock by David Ellis who approached his friend, her breeder Ken Browne wanting to buy her.  Keen to race her, Ken sold half of her to David and together they race this daughter of Colombia out of Trove.  Trained by Jason Bridgman, this winter mare showed prowess on heavy tracks early in her racing career, winning her first two starts.  In the 2013/2014 season as a 6YO she really came in to her own finishing 3rd in the $100,000 Group 3 Winter Cup at Riccarton in August and then claiming the $70,000 Merial Ancare Metric Mile at Awapuni in September.  Thrive has raced 17 times for five wins and eight placings with stakes' earnings of $101,200.
