Opie Bosson on Melody Belle

Opie Bosson will be aboard multiple Group 1 winning mare Melody Belle for her next big assignment  - the Group 1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph at Trentham on 19 January.

Shafiq Rusof was suspended for 12 days for careless riding aboard the classy mare in the Group 1 Sistema Railway at Ellerslie on New Year's Day and will remain suspended until 20 January.

Opie Bosson is unbeaten on Melody Belle in three engagements - the wins including the Karaka Million, the Group 2 Sires' Produce Stakes in Queensland and the Group 3 Mongolian Khan Trophy on Karaka Million nighjt, a year after her first big victory.

Melody Belle has this season already claimed line honours in the Group 1 Tarzino Trophy and Group 1 Windsor Park Plate at both at Hastings in the Spring, as well as the Group 2 Foxbridge Plate at Te Rapa in August.  She was a very unlucky third in the Railway and is currently the favourite for the Telegraph.
