4.57 p.m. R9 5 Zavistic (4 g Zacinto - Miss Avalon) - Tegan Newman (a3); won at the end of his previous campaign and resumed off 111 days with another victory on 1 February in the Rating 65 1200 metres at Hastings. He clocked one of the fastest last 600m (34.3) on the day and looked good at the line. Up in grade, with weight relief to 55.5kgs in the $11,000 Rating 70 1200 metres, he certainly meets a stronger field but performs consistently, handles give in the ground, and rates an each way chance from barrier three.
