Te Akau Flemington Preview
Te Akau has one horse racing on Saturday 10 November at Flemington, Melbourne.

Weather: fine, track: Good4, rail: out 8 metres

4.10 p.m. (NZ time) R4 8 Age of Fire (4 h Fastnet Rock - Dragon's Tail) - John Allen; resumed in the Village Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on 17 October at Caulfield. Presenting in bullish condition, he met expectations when tracking up from back in the field behind a wall of horses at the 200m and looked good finding the line late. In the $200,000 DeRucci Chatham Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m), unfortunately drawn wide (14), he will be ridden patiently as a result with a view to finishing strongly. He is reported to have taken good benefit from his first up run and galloped well through the week in preparation. Fixed odds: $26.00 & $6.00 NZ TAB.

Owned by the Te Akau 2016 Sydney Breeding No. 2 and Brendan & Jo Lindsay (Cambridge Stud), Age of Fire contested the Rosehill Guineas (Gr. 1, 2000m) in March, spelled, and following trials in July and August then transferred to Darren Weir at Warrnambool, Victoria for an Australian campaign.

In November last year, he was runner-up to stable-mate Embellish (Savabeel) in the 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m), before going on to win the Levin Classic (Gr. 1, 1600m) in January.
