Te Akau Hastings Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Thursday 24 May at Hastings.
As on Wednesday 23 May the conditions were: cloudy and Dead6, rail out 4 metres. No rain forecast.

2.47 p.m. R8 11 Icebomb (3 f Darci Brahma - Snowdonia) - Tegan Newman (a4); followed three seconds with a stylish win on 26 April in the Maiden 3YO 1300 metres at Tauranga, and contests the $10,000 Rating 65 1300 metres. Stakes' placed at two in the Phoenix Park Classic (Gr. 3, 1200m), she has the talent to prove competitive immediately in the next grade and claims weight to 52.5kgs, but requires luck from a wide draw.

4.04 p.m. R10 10 Witchery (3 f Savabeel - Now the World) - Cameron Lammas; trialled well before finding the line strongly for fourth on debut in the Maiden 1200 metres on 2 May at Matamata, and ideally placed to appreciate stepping in distance for the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres. Her dam Now the World (Flying Spur) has left four individual winners of 14 races while her second dam Light up the World (Rory's Jester) was a multiple Group winner in Australia. She appears ideally placed, with solid each way prospects.
