Te Akau’s David Ellis bought two horses from the Ready to Run Sale that year – Gingernuts and Hall of Fame – and they have won six stakes’ races including four Grp 1 races.
Last year he returned to that sale and purchased another head-turner – Te Akau Shark, unbeaten in two starts and current Grp 1 2000 Guineas’ favourite. It’s FUN, EASY and AFFORDABLE to be part of the Te Akau team – New Zealand’s champion stable six times in the past 13 years.
Last season Te Akau won more prize money in New Zealand for our owners than any other stable – including both of NZ’s $1 million races – the Grp 1 NZ Derby and the Karaka Million.
