Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 27 wins since 1 January.  He has also trained 29 runners up and 29 third placegetters and has claimed two Group 2 victories.

Te Akau Singapore has six horses racing on Friday 22 June

10.50 p.m. R2 2 Wira Sakti (4 g Globetrotter - Verneau) - Ryan Curatolo; draws barrier four in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf where Mark Walker lines up two of the 14 starters.  The 4YO carries top weight (59kgs) -  place chance looks best.

10.50 p.m. R2 5 O'Reilly Star (4 g O'Reilly - Starbelly) - Vlad Duric; the second for the stable draws barrier six and will carry 57.5kgs with the champion rider aboard.  It is his third start back after knee surgery and any rain would assist - a good each way chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 1 Northern Knight (6 g Sir Percy - Pesky) - App Razali Zawari (a1); draws barrier eight in the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on the polytrack for the Raffles Racing team.  In this field of 12 runners, he is the joint top weight and with the claim will carry 57kgs - while 1200m could be a bit sharp for him, he finds a weaker race - a top four chance.

12.20 a.m. R5 4 Alamosa Express (4 g Alamosa - Dane Whisper) - Ryan Curatolo; draws barrier eight of nine starters in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the polytrack.  This very consistent 5YO son of Alamosa has been freshened and drops back in distance.  With blinkers on and 55.5kgs assigned - a top four chance.

1.25 a.m. R7 9 Elite Power (4 g Sakhee's Secret - London Welsh) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier three in the 12-strong field for the $100,000 Kranji B 1000 metres on the polytrack.  With 55kgs on his back, this smart last start winner is stepping up in grade but should handle the task - he's in great form and has the leading rider engaged - a top four chance.

2.00 a.m. R8 3 Ancient Warrior (5 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier nine in the $80,000 Class 3 1200 metres on the polytrack.  Facing 11 competitors, this 5YO by Iffraaj put three second placings together two, three and four starts ago and returns to racing after pulling shoulder muscle.  He finds a suitable race here - a place chance.
