Friday 20 May

10.50 p.m. R2 3 DOUBLE JEOPARDY - Manuel Nunes; top jockey rides our first for the meeting after his successful return from suspension last weekend.  He has drawn 10 in the 12 horse field and carries 55.5kgs.  He gets back to his preferred (poly) surface, is in good form and rates a top four chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 ZAC GALLANT - Manuel Nunes; draws well (3) in this sprint 1000m with the luxury weight of 53kgs.  He is a real trooper and he also strikes a suitable race here.  While he doesn't win out of turn, this is the weakest field he has faced for a time - a top four chance.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 2 EN CIVIL - Shafiq Rusof; he has drawn handily enough (6) and carries 57kgs in this 12 strong mile field.  He is enjoying great form and was narrowly beaten last start - with that type of form he is certainly a top four chance and can atone.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 1 CLERMONT CLUB - Shafiq Rusof; the first of Te Akau's duo in this 14 horse affair, he has drawn gate five and will carry joint top-weight of 57kgs.  Back in Class 5 means he should be more competitive and as such, presents as a top four chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 3 SECRET SPICE - Manuel Nunes; the second of the stable pair, she has drawn way out at 14 for the champion rider and is assigned 57kgs.  She's an honest mare, is more of a turf horse but still rates a top five chance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 4 CLUTHA LAD - Oscar Chavez; a real campaigner - a horse that David Ellis bought for under $40,000 who has now earned $294,716 from his five wins and 18 2nd/3rd/4th placings in Singapore.  He has drawn nicely (3), carries just 53.5kgs and he gets back to his preferred poly surface.  Whilst his form line might not read that well, his trainer thinks he rates a top five chance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 7 IKING - Shafiq Rusof; on the quick back-up having won last week, he draws one outside his stablemate (4) and also carries 53.5kgs.  He has pulled up very well from last Sunday and rates a top four chance.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 2 THE COSMOS - Manuel Nunes; since arriving in Singapore, this former Kiwi has raced 10 times recording a win, seven seconds and a third - for stakes of almost $120,000.  A consistently good performer, he has drawn barrier six and carries 58.5kgs. He deserves to break through and is a top four chance.
