Sunday 15 July 2018

4.40 p.m. R1 11 Why Ports (3 f Roc De Cambes - Sweet Torque) - Razali Zawari (a3); has drawn the outside barrier (11) in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 52.5kgs. He disappointed first up and requires luck from the outside gate to improve.

5.10 p.m. R2 12 Axel (2 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Alysha Collett; has drawn barrier nine of 13 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 50kgs. A nice horse, he is however awkwardly drawn but still presents as a top four chance with luck in running.

5.40 p.m. R3 1 Bringer of War (3 f Burgundy - Eclectic Heights) - Vlad Duric; has drawn barrier five of 10 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. Back from surgery, she went very well last time for fourth, has drawn a better gate and rates a top four chance.

6.10 p.m. R4 3 Bejewelled (3 g Minstrel Court - Diamond Jules) - Vlad Duric; has drawn barrier 11 of 13 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 57kgs. He has unfortunately drawn wide again and will require luck to rate a top four chance.

6.40 p.m. R5 2 Heartlight (3 g Any Suggestion - Cross Quarry) - Vlad Duric; has drawn barrier eight of 12 in the $60,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He won here on debut, was an unlucky fourth second up, and with blinkers on, he presents as a top four chance.

7.10 p.m. R6 3 First Light (4 g Duporth - All Our Chips) - Vlad Duric; has drawn barrier six of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He will roll forward and has place hopes.

7.45 p.m. R7 6 Northern Knight (6 g Sir Percy - Pesky) - Razali Zawari (a1); has drawn barrier 11 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 54kgs. While he ran well last time for second, he does meet a stronger field but remains a place chance.

8.20 p.m. R8 3 Elite Invincible (Archarcharch - Dough on the Go) - Vlad Duric; Mark Walker lines up three starters in the prestigious Group 1 Singapore Derby today - the first has drawn barrier nine of 15 in the $1.15 million Derby (Gr. 1, 1800m) on the turf and carries 57kgs. In grand form, winning the $1m Giovanni Racing Charity Bowl (Gr. 1, 1600m) last start, he just requires a dry track to rate a top four chance.

8.20 p.m. R8 4 Kingsman (4 g Darci Brahma - Society Lady) - Craig Grylls; the second of the Walker trio has drawn barrier 12 of 15 in the Singapore Derby and carries 57kgs. He was a touch unlucky when running a great race for second to Elite Invincible in the Group 1 Charity Bowl last start and rates a top four prospect.

8.20 p.m. R8 6 Lim's Regard (4 g Red Giant - Celtic Class) - Ryan Curatolo; the last of the Group 1 trio has drawn barrier six of 15 and carries 57kgs. Nothing has gone right in his last two starts and he does require a firm track to rate a long-shot front runner.

9.25 p.m. R10 7 Sacred Empire (5 g More Than Ready - Danalaga) - Craig Grylls; has drawn barrier eight of 10 in the $80,000 Class 3 1600 metres on turf and carries 52.5kgs. He has been a touch disappointing in his two runs, but his form was over staying trips in New Zealand, and he rates a place proposition.

10.00 p.m. R11 2 Ancient Warrior (5 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - Vlad Duric; has drawn barrier 10 of 14 in the $80,000 Class 3 1200 metres on and carries 56.5kgs. He rates a top four chance if able to overcome the challenge of a wide gate.
