1.22 p.m. R2 8 Tavis Star (6 m Tavistock - Megapins) - Cameron Lammas; worked early and met a check in midfield at the 700 metres before finishing fourth to race rival Youwantmore (Sufficient) on Heavy11 in the Rating 75 1800 metres at New Plymouth, and steps up in distance for the $25,000 Rating 75 2100 metres. Five of her nine rivals are dropping back in grade, but she is nicely weighted (54.5kgs), races well here, boasts a solid record with Lammas aboard, and has the pedigree and resolve to run the trip out solidly. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.80.
