Flemington:


Shillelagh (K. Jones) worked with a partner over 1000 metres on the grass. The daughter of Savabeel has drawn barrier 12 of 12 in Race 8 at Caulfield on Saturday with Damien Oliver retaining the ride.



Matamata - No. 2 Sand - heavy rain prevented timing

Vive La Difference (Miller) and Our Abbadean (Fawcett) worked individually over 1000 metres, the pair both ran the 1000 in 1.15.


Ocean Rock (Richards) looked good working over 1000 metres.


Echezeaux (Lammas) worked over 1200 metres as did  Zambezi Warrior (McNab).



Riccarton:


O'Naturelle (Didham) had her first piece of fast work since the Listed Canterbury Belle Stakes, running 800 metres in 55.


Carmenize (Shailer) prepared for the Timaru meeting next Friday 7 October by working over 1000 metres.


Madame Jamai (Shailer) begins her spring campaign on Saturday in the Rating 75 1200 metre contest. She worked over 1000 metres, running her last 800 metres in 55.1. Stable apprentice Jasmine Fawcett will head south on Saturday to take the ride.


Imperium (Shailer) and Play For Time (Shailer) also both worked over 1000 metres untimed. Imperium (Encosta De Lago) steps up the more suitable trip of 2000 metres on Saturday althought has drawn the widest for the Rating 65 contest and Michael McNab retains the ride.
