Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 10 January  -

Plough:

On track to race in the 3YO 1600 metres at Ellerslie on Sunday, In A Twinkling (N Bakar) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.31.1, quickening in the straight to finish in 42.6. Race rival Prise De Fer (D Miller) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.28, also quickening in the straight to finish in 41. Aiming toward Tauranga next Friday, Beaumarchais (C Burdan) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres and ran similar times.

Ready to race at Rotorua next Wednesday, Spirit Of Galway (J Kamaruddin) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.06.7, 800 in 51.8, last 600 in 37.9.

Lord High Spirit (C Leveque) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running the last 600 in 46.

Preparing for the Group 1 Telegraph (Open SW&P, 1200m) at Trentham Saturday week, Melody Belle (J Bragg) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45. Enduring Love (J Bragg) also worked over 1000 metres, running similar times.

Sword Of Osman (D Miller) readies for the 3YO 1200 metres at Ellerslie on Sunday by galloping over an easy 1000 metres in 1.12.7, home in 42.1.

Elegant D'Oro (J Kamaruddin) galloped nicely over 1200 metres in 1.26.3, last 600 in 40.8.

Now ready to contest the Group 3 Trentham Stakes (Open SW&P, 2100m) on Saturday, Chance To Dance (C Burdan) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.28, quickening in the straight to finish in 40.5.

Savy Yong Blonk (J Nason) followed by Shezathinka (S Rusof) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.31.2, last 600 in 44.1.

Te Akau Dragon (S Rusof) and Griffin (C Burdan) paired up to gallop over 1000 metres in 1.06.4, final 600 in 37.

Qiji Crystal (J Bragg) galloped over an easy 1000 metres in 1.11.5, home in 41.6. Probabeel (D Miller) and Louis Luck (S Rusof) also galloped over 1000 metres, running similar times. Louis Luck and Probabeel are ready to race in 2YO 1200 metre events at Trentham on Saturday and Ellerslie on Sunday respectively.

Fabulous Flight (N Bakar) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.14.6, quickening in the straight to finish the last 600 in 42.7.

Aotea Lad (D Miller) worked on his own over an easy 1000 metres in 1.13.3, final 600 in 42.2.

Queen Of The Air (J Kamaruddin) looked good galloping an easy 800 metres in 55.6, last 600 in 41.

Miss Hepburn (S Rusof) and Scottish Star (J Nason) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 59.4, last 600 in 42.4. Irish Heart (S Rusof) and Miss Scandinavia (J Nason) also worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running similar times.

Xplosion (S Rusof) and Combat Queen (J Nason) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 57.8, home in 42.6.

 

All Weather:

Diamond Dream (S Rusof), Harlow (J Kamaruddin) and Greedy (J Bragg) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, quickening in the straight to finish off in 42.4.
