Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 13 March -

Course Proper:

Heroic Valour (S Rusof) and Paulownia (M McNab) looked terrific working over 1000 metres on the rail in 1.03.8, home in 35.7. Heroic Valour builds toward the Listed Te Akau Racing Lightning Handicap at Trentham on Saturday and Paulownia readies for the Group 2 Phil Cataldo Bloodstock Wellington Guineas on the same day.

Unfazed (M McNab) and Chadsdale (C Burdan) galloped together over 1000 metres in 1.06.2, last 600 in 38.5. Unfazed prepares for the Rating 75 1400 metres at Rotorua on Saturday while Chadsdale aims toward the Rating 65 1200 metres at Te Aroha on Friday.

Readying for the $400,000 Group 1 New Zealand Oaks at Trentham on Saturday, Swing Note (S Rusof) looked good working in company with Bizzwinkle - running 1200 metres in 1.17.3, last 600 in 38.1.

Lady Painton (M McNab) and Lady Zeraph (D Tan) worked over 1200 metres, running 1000 metres in 1.05.6, and home in 38.7. They were followed by Tavis Star (T Newman) who ran similar times. Lady Painton and Lady Zerpah are scheduled to race at Te Aroha on Friday while Tavis Star makes the trip to race at Rotorua on Saturday.

Cloudburst (N Bakar) galloped solo over an easy 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 39.2.

Te Akau Dragon (N Bakar) and 3g Castledale - Emma's Choice (C Burdan) galloped 800 metres in 52.5, home in 37.2.

Rock Idol (D Tan) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.12.

Platonica (McNab) and 2g Savabeel - La Belle Epoque (C Burdan) galloped nicely over 600 metres in 39.

Preparing for the Maiden 1600 metres at Te Aroha on Friday, Qian Gua (T Newman) galloped nicely over 1200 metres in 1.18, last 600 in 37.5.

Icebomb (R Alam) and Queen Of The Air (S Rusof) worked over an easy 800 metres in 1.02.2, last 600 in 43.7.

Shebringsmerubies (T Newman) and 2f Per Incanto - Moss Lady (C Burdan) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 59.5, home in 43.3.

Fabulous Flight (M McNab) and 3f Fastnet Rock - Schooner Bay (D Tan) paired up to galloped 800 metres in 55.1, home in 39.3.

2f Reliable Man - Keenly (K Price) looked good working at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1 minute, last 600 in 44.5. Seirios (N Bakar) also worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running similar times.

2f Makfi - Espresso Cavallo (K Price) looked good working on her own over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 45.1.

Prise De Fer (D Tan) and Live Wire (C Leveque) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1 minute, home in 44.5. Heart Of Courage (N Bakar) and Willpower (M McNab) also worked over 800 metres, running similar times.

2f Cape Blanco - My Fiancee (C Leveque) and 2g Reliable Man - Lumir (T Newman), Quattro Katie (T Newman) and 2f Burgundy - Trove (C Leveque) galloped in pairs over an easy 600 metres in 42.2.

Aquilo (C Burdan) worked solo at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1 minute, last 600 in 44.

Ritzy Sparkle (C Leveque) and 2f Savabeel - Tell No Lies (D Tan) galloped an easy 600 metres in 43.6.

2f Savabeel - Ampin (D Tan) and 2f Pentire - Platinum Blond (S Rusof) galloped an easy 600 metres in 40.1. Mongolian Angel (C Burdan) and Seaforth Lass (T Newman), Grand Ariana (D Tan) and 2f Burgundy - Spin 'N Grin (C Leveque), D'Oro Mantra (C Leveque) and Miss Hepburn (C Burdan), 2f Ekraar - Fiveundred (S Rusof) and Lady Of Camelot (R Alam) also worked in pairs over 600 metres, running very similar times.

Scottish Star (T Newman) and Ocean Star (D Tan) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 45.5.
