Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 15 January -


Course Proper:

Preparing for the $250,000 Group 1 Telegraph (Open SW&P, 1200m) at Trentham on Saturday, Melody Belle (J Waddell) galloped nicely in company over 1000 metres in 1.06, last 600 in 37.6.

Savy Yong Blonk (M Coleman) and Shezathinka (S Rusof) paired up to gallop over 1200 metres in 1.24.1, last 600 in 38.7. Savy Yong Blonk aims toward racing in the $70,000 Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes (3YOF SW, 1600m) at Trentham on Saturday, while Shezathinka targets the Maiden 1600 metres at Te Rapa on Sunday.

Publicist (S Rusof) and Gris Dame (J Nason) galloped together over 1000 metres in 1.09.1, last 600 in 39.9.

 

No.2 Sand:

Readying to race at Tauranga on Friday, Beaumarchais (D Miller) galloped nicely over an easy 1200 metres, running the last 1000 in 1.08, home in 38.

Jet Set (N Bakar) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running the last 600 in 44.

Witchery (S Rusof) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, home in 44. Ocean Star (D Miller) and Golden Age (D Miller) also worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, running similar times.

Wide Awake (C Leveque) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, final 600 in 41.

Al Hasa (N Bakar) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running the last 600 in 44. Al Haram (J Nason) looked good working at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running home similar time.

Diamond Dream (J Kamaruddin) galloped nicely on her own over an easy 800 metres in 55, final 600 in 40.

Irish Heart (J Nason) and Scottish Star (S Rusof) paired up to gallop over 800 metres in 51, home in 37.

Quattro Katie (S Rusof) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running the last 600 in 42.

 

All Weather:

Harlow (J Bragg) and 2f Savabeel - Banchee (J Kamaruddin) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1 minute, last 600 in 43.

2c Savabeel - Millililli (D Miller) and 2c Savabeel - Marveen (N Bakar) looked good working over an easy 600 metres in 41.
