Te Akau TV's Trans Tasman Bubble Preview

Welcome back in to Te Akau TV where we have a massive weekend to preview with Group racing galore across both sides of the ditch.

Louis Herman-Watt & our Premiership leading trainer Jamie Richards get stuck in for the last time this season taking a look at each of our runners.

The weekend starts on Friday in the backyard where we have a great meet at Matamata to enjoy. We have four nice chances going around and if they can hack the slower track, they'll all have their chance.

On Saturday it's an extremely busy day for the team with two North Island meets as well as the second day of The Championships going on. We have six going down to Hastings Racing Club

including lovely mares Romantic Lady and Secret Amour who line up as super chances. Te Rapa Racing also host a fantastic meet where we have a decent team of eight heading. They'll be lead by our wonderful Group One mare Avantage who will get her shot at the Thoroughbred Breeders crown after last week the race was postponed.

Jamie has made the voyage to Sydney after a long stint in New Zealand for day two of The Championships at Royal Randwick. Amarelinha has been a star in her first season and is already our NZ Oaks champion, she'll line up against the Aussie fillies in their Oaks and is a genuine each way chance with Opie up. Probabeel finds herself in an ideal race in the Queen Of The Turf and will rightly start favourite for that affair. We finish off the day with excitement machine Entriviere in the Saphire Stakes, she'll be piloted by James McDonald from the wide gate and will be storming home late.

What a season we have had to date, getting some more Group wins tucked away this weekend would be such a fair representation of how hard everyone has been working but it's never easy, especially in Australia so wish us luck!

Thanks for tuning in as always, enjoy a wonderful weekend of racing.
