Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 24 March -

Plough:

Seirios (N Bakar) looked good galloping 800 metres in 52.1, last 600 in 38.6.

Readying for the Group 1 Sires' Produce Stakes at Awapuni next Saturday, Handsome RebelĀ (M McNab) and Avantage (S Rusof) worked well over 1000 metres, running 1.07.3, last 600 in 38.6.

Sword Of Osman (M McNab) and Heroic Valour (N Bakar) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.06, last 600 in 38.8. Sword Of Osman also prepares for the Sires' Produce Stakes while Heroic Valour aims toward the Listed Flying Handicap on the same day.

Master Painton (T Newman) and Miss Scandinavia (S Rusof) paired up to gallop 1000 metres in 1.05, last 600 in 36.5. Both horses prepare to race at Matamata next Wednesday (28 March).

The Chaser (M McNab) and Byzantine (S Rusof) galloped 1000 metres in 1.04.9, home in 36.6. They were followed by Pacific Coast (N Bakar) who ran similar times. The Chaser and Pacific Coast build toward racing at Wanganui on 29 March, while Byzantine prepares for the two-year-old event at Matamata on 28 March.

Preparing for the Maiden 1600 metres at Matamata on Wednesday, Qian Gua (S Rusof) worked at three quarter pace over 1200 metres, running the last 600 in 45.4.

Aquilo (M McNab) galloped solo over 800 metres in 55.8, last 600 in 41.

Publicist (McNab) and Heart Of Courage (C Burdan) galloped 800 metres in 53.5, home in 39.

 

All Weather:

Sunny Rose (C Burdan), Bella Cassino (T Newman) and Irish Heart (D Tan) all galloped nicely over an easy 600 metres in 38.9.

2g Epaulette - Highlight (T Newman) and 2g O'Reilly - Tonic (D Tan) looked good working at three quarter pace over 600 metres.
