12:28 p.m. R2 6 Fellini (4 g Belardo – Silke Top) – Ashvin Goindasamy; he came from beyond midfield with a good finish for fourth on footing downgraded to Heavy8 when resuming in the Rating 75 1400 metres on 13 April at Riccarton, and contests the $22,000 Rating 82 1400 metres. Winner of five races, he is generally consistent, is stakes' placed, appreciates good ground, and rates a top three chance from barrier one. Fixed odds: $3.00 & $1.25.

1:45 p.m. R4 2 Caravella (4 m Caravaggio – Highland Lights) – Denby-Rose Tait (a3); she was unable to quicken on downgrading Soft7 footing in the Open 1200 metres on 13 April at Riccarton, and drops in grade for $17,000 Rating 75 1200 metres. In good form prior, she enjoys weight relief to 55kg, and rates a top three chance from barrier one. Fixed odds: $3.00 & $1.40.

2:55 p.m. R6 1 Bello Mio (4 g Deep Field – Bella Francesca) – Ashvin Goindasamy; he was unable to quicken on footing downgraded to Heavy8 in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 13 April at Riccarton, and contests the $17,000 Rating 75 1400 metres. In good form prior, he presents as a top three chance with luck from barrier 11. Fixed odds: $2.80 & $1.40.
