Te Akau Woodville Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 14 September at Woodville.

1.23 p.m. R3 16 Willpower (3 g Power - The Lady) - Samantha Collett; resumes from barrier nine in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. He spelled after finishing second on debut in April at Rotorua, having displayed natural ability for a second and first, respectively, at the trials. His two trials this time in resulted in a win and fourth at Te Teko. With speed to take a handy position, he has both the pedigree and ability to prove a factor fresh-up. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.40.

3.05 p.m. R6 13 English Rose (4 m Makfi - Bislieri) - Samantha Collett; spelled after racing below best in March and following two good trials in August she resumes in the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres. Although yet to break through, she has registered some good performances and rates an each way chance from barrier seven on footing that should suit. Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.50.
