Lot 451 b f Sizzling – O’Raghailligh (O’Reilly) $90,000 (draft: Bradbury Park)
Sizzling was the first son of Champion stallion Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice) to stand at stud, and this filly is the first foal from a mare by Champion stallion O’Reilly (Last Tycoon) and in turn from a mare by the most successful sire of all time in Danehill (Danzig).
Through the grand-dam, Kerkira, who has left the impressive winning mare Emily Monk (O’Reilly), this filly carries a lovely Danehill cross in her pedigree.
Her family is truly international and one established by the Aga Khan.
“We’ve been very impressed with the stock of Sizzling,” said David Ellis. “He’s a young sire that’s been doing a great job with his two-year-olds in Australia.
“The filly is a first foal, and everyone should know how much I like buying first and early foals, and how much success we’ve had training them.
“She’s a really speedy looking filly, a natural running two-year-old, and I think she would be broken in early and be ready to trial in August at Te Teko.”
