Bred and raced by Waikato Stud, Certainly broke through for her first Group win at just her fifth Raceday appearance.

The 3YO daughter of Savabeel had been held in high regard since being entrusted to the Te Akau stable. She was very unlucky on debut in late November 2023, posting a huge run for second to Pendragon, after losing a plate in the running.

It would not be long until she shed her maiden status however, and that came in December 2023 at her home track when trouncing her opposition by 2.75 lengths in the hands of Craig Grylls.

Certainly tackled her first Group 1 assignment in January 2024 when she lined up in the $500,000 Group 1 Cambridge Stud Levin Classic 3YO SW 1600m at Trentham. Again luck deserted her as she needed to be restrained by rider Warren Kennedy from her wide barrier, was forced wide at the 400m, then hampered and still flew home to finish sixth - only .8 lengths however off the winner.  It was a sign of things to come.

The success we knew she was destined for began too play out on 2 March 2024, the start of Auckland Cup Week at Ellerslie.  Certainly took her place in the $150,000 Group 3 Mainstream Plumbing Musfhasa Stakes 3YO SW+P 1400m with stable rider Opie Bosson in the saddle.

From barrier five she settled three back on the inside, travelled wide at the 200m and under the urgings of Bosson, claimed her first black type spoils.

Her victory saw her book a passage to Te Akau's Cranbourne stable where Australian black type targets await.

Certainly has raced five times for two wins and two placings, earning her owners $118,600 to date.
