GRAZIA

The full sister to Australian Group winner Shillelagh (who was trained by Te Akau during her NZ career), Grazia was purchased by David Ellis from the Karaka Premier Sale for $100,000.

The winner of four of her 17 starts - with nine other placings - she claimed the $50,000 Listed Christchurch Casino Spring Classic over 2000m at Riccarton on 28 November 2017.  Her first black type effort was guided by Te Akau trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards and she was ridden by 2016/17 Champion Apprentice Sam Weatherly.  Interestingly, David Ellis gave Sam' father Darren his first ever winner as a rider.

Grazia is a daughter of start sire Savabeel and has now won $64,901 in prize money.
