Minstrel Court

Purchased by David Ellis from the 2007 Gold Coast Sale for A$100,000, the son of Danehill Dancer/Tregurrian had four wins and four placings from twelve starts before injury curbed his race career.  He won on debut at Levin on 29 November 2007 and on 23 February 2008, at just his fourth attempt, won the $65,000 Listed Fairvew Ford Slipper for 2YO colts & geldings at Matamata. Minstrel Court was also second in the Listed HS Dyke Wanganui Guineas in September and third in the $1 million Group 1 NZ 2000 Guineas in November 2008.  Trained by Mark Walker, Minstrel Court was raced by Te Akau Syndicate (No 16) managed by David Ellis.  He won won $179,000 in stakes and now stands at stud at Willow Glen Stud, Waimate.
