Zabene
Trained by Mark Walker, the gelding by Zabeel won the Listed Dunedin Gold Cup in February 2010, following on from his runner up placing in the Group 3 New Zealand Cup at Riccarton in November 2009. Zabene was also third in the 2010 edition of the New Zealand Cup. He was raced by Keltern Stud Ltd, Mrs AH & BM Perry and Walt Ltd. In 2011 he was purchased by David Ellis and syndicated by Fortuna. Trained by Jason Bridgman, he won the $45,000 Listed Gold Club Metropolitan Trophy in November 2011 at Riccarton. He won nine and was placed 25 times for stakes of $213,697.
