Age of Fire Lands Safely

The Informant reports:

Jason Collett will take the ride on Age Of Fire in the Gr. 1 Randwick Guineas in Sydney on Saturday.

The son of Fastnet Rock has been ridden by Opie Bosson in each of his last two starts, including his win in the Gr. 1 Levin Classic at Trentham, but Bosson will ride at Ellerslie this weekend.

“We've got Jason Collett to ride Age Of Fire,” co-trainer Jamie Richards said.

“We're happy with how the horse is going, and up to 1600 metres will suit. It's going to be tough against some of the very good colts over there, but we need to get him over there and get him going. Once he gets up to 2000 metres we think he can be very competitive.”

Age of Fire travelled well to Sydney on Monday and was met by Te Akau senior team member Daniel Miller who will look after the colt during his Sydney campaign, having been with Embellish in Melbourne prior.
