This year at the Karaka Ready to Run sale, as usual I inspected all the horses that interested me and I saw two quite outstanding colts - colts that you simply couldn't walk past!
These two colts probably impressed me as much as any colts I have seen in the past twenty years. And it is interesting that I came home from the sale after inspecting all the horses and I said to Karyn "I do not want to miss these two colts. They are absolutely outstanding and I am going to buy them both and put them in a colt syndicate".

One was a Pierro colt (below) and one was a Savabeel colt (above).
Interestingly enough the Pierro colt is out of a Redoute's Choice mare who is out of a Sir Tristam mare who is out of a Zamazaan mare. Three of the greatest stallions in this part of the world in my lifetime.

The Pierro/Redoute's Choice cross is a match made in heaven. There have been 36 runners for 27 winners, four Group 1 winners and seven stakes' winners. That is 19% stakes' winners to runners including Derby winners Levendi and Furore and the outstanding filly Arcadia Queen. This is one of the great crosses of all time and this colt has greatly impressed me since he has been back at Te Akau Stud where I inspect him each day.

The other colt in the syndicate was the Savabeel colt out of Saoirse. This colt has a very interesting pedigree being a first foal out of an Iffraaj mare. The last first foal out of an Iffraaj mare I bought was Melody Belle.
The second dam is the stakes' winning mare Erin Hostess who is by O'Reilly, giving this colt the famous Savabeel/O'Reilly cross. This colt has a very good pedigree going back over four generations.
These two colts give investors a fantastic opportunity to get into a really serious race horse. If they can really perform at Group One level, colts with this pedigree are worth $15 - $25 million even in this part of the world.
So if you want to be involved in this syndicate there are only a couple of shares left and I advise you to be very, very quick. They are two colts that I can personally highly recommend. Have a good, close look at them.
There are videos of them on our web site - under the "Yearlings & Shares" page. They both really impressed their riders who rode them in the jump outs and both breezed up in superb fashion before the sale. They are broken in and will head to there stable soon, so the early "hard work" is all done!
I have done a lot of research on these two and they are pretty impressive individuals. So if you would like to be involved give me a call today on 021 925 151 David or email Karyn at [email protected].
