Congratulations Mette & Julia-Rose - NZTR Awards' Finalists

We could not be more proud of two of our team who in the past week have been named as finalists at the upcoming NZTR Horse of the Year Awards.

Mette Mosebo has been announced as the Northern Finalist for the NZ Stablehand of the Year - there are three finalists in contention for the annual award, one from each of the Northern, Central and Southern regions.

Julia-Rose Hayes (Ellis) has also been named as a finalist representing Te Akau Racing in the Contribution to Media, Digital and Content Award. Julia-Rose oversees all of our digital media coverage and content - all those fantastic videos you see for example of our sales' yearlings are all part of her contribution.

We are delighted for these two! Well done!!

The winners of all awards will be announced on Sunday 11 October. New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing cancelled its actual Horse of the Year awards' event, moving it to a virtual event to be staged via Facebook.

Not wanting our owners to miss out on this very special occasion, te Akau is staging our own Te Akau Thoroughbred Awards' Dinner at Te Rapa on that evening - and we will link in to the live broadcast as the winners of each category are announced.

It will be a terrific night - a chance to dress up and celebrate Te Akau's season of success together.
