Gingernuts' win on Saturday was the 20th Group 1 winner for Te Akau co-trainer Stephen Autridge and the ninth for his training partner Jamie Richards - a combined tally of 29!

What really blew me away was that is was the 55th Group 1 win for our stable jockey Opie Bosson - now that is some achievement - with 12 of those coming in the Te Akau tangerine.

Well done team - I am very proud of you!

Group 1 wins are the ultimate in horse racing, they are what every owner, trainer, rider and team member aspires to.  Plenty of stables never win a Group 1 so when you do, it is very important to celebrate!

Gingernuts was strapped by Mason Stevens who is a top young man who will go a long way in racing and he was his first Group 1 winner.

To all the members of my team who have worked so hard this Winter - well done and a huge thank you - you guys are the true champions of our industry!
