Te Akau Cyclone Gabrielle Relief Fund - UPDATE

UPDATE: CURRENTLY APPROACHING $40,000!!

We cannot describe the feelings of utter sadness and concern everyone at Te Akau Racing feels for our fellow Kiwis impacted by the devastating effects of Cyclone Gabrielle.

The sights that we are seeing, the desperate situation unfolding before our eyes is earth-shattering and deeply distressing.

Word cannot express our heartache for the families who have lost loved ones, for those searching for loved ones - for families fleeing their homes, many never to return to them as they once were or at all.

Te Akau Racing has always believed that service to humanity is the best work of life and we care deeply about our fellow New Zealanders, our communities and all animals.

We have team members from affected areas, who are unable to contact their families and friends. We have many owners in storm-ravaged parts of the country who have lost everything. We are thinking of everyone deeply at this time.

We must all keep hoping for the best, as hope is the foundation stone of who we are as human beings. Hope alone however is not enough, practical assistance is needed urgently - now.

Therefore until 28 February, Te Akau Racing will match every dollar donated by our owners, friends and supporters to a total of $10,000.  We will ensure a minimum of $20,000 is donated to this relief fund - https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/cyclone-gabrielle-community-support
