Cyclone Relief Fund Update - Thank You

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our owners and supporters, Te Akau Racing has successfully raised $43,900 to support the victims of Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand. Te Akau Racing was proud to match the first $10,000 in donations dollar for dollar.

This tally is a wonderful achievement and would not have been possible without your incredible support and concern for others. We are humbled and grateful for your unwavering commitment to helping those in need, and we know that this donation will go a long way in supporting the recovery efforts of those affected by the cyclone.

Te Akau's David Ellis CNZM said:

"Our hearts go out to all those so dramatically impacted by this tragedy that has devastated parts of our country. We know it is not just the physical destruction but also the emotional despair and distress that comes with events such as this. We have been deeply moved by the stories of loss, and also resilience, that have emerged from this. As a community, we must do all that we can to support those affected and help them get back on their feet.

"Many people have lost their homes, belongings, and, most tragically, their loved ones. As a community, it is heart-warming to see New Zealand, and our overseas friends, coming together to support those affected by this disaster. Our donations came from 'far and wide' not just New Zealand and Australia, but also Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States and other parts of Europe and Asia."

As a racing community, our bond stretches beyond geographical borders. We are a global community that comes together to support each other in times of need. We have witnessed incredible compassion and kindness time and time again, and this fund raiser will deliver vital funds where they mater most. The money raised reinforces the strength and solidarity of our community. Te Akau is proud to have played a small part in helping our fellow New Zealanders during this difficult time.

Once again, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this fundraiser with crucial donations. We also acknowledge the efforts by fellow individuals and groups within the racing industry.

Your support will make a real difference in the lives of those affected.

Thank you for standing with us in support of our fellow citizens in need. We are humbled to be part of a community that truly cares - a community that has made a positive impact as our fellow Kiwis navigate the future rebuilding of their lives.
