Darci Brahma's daughters Bonniegirl and Darci's Dream look set for lucrative three-year-old campaigns after resuming in style at Taupo on Wednesday.

Bonniegirl was an impressive debut winner in an event with Group race history while Darci's Dream knocked off a field of classic hopefuls in dominant fashion with victory in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series 3YO.

Trained by Jason Bridgman, Darci's Dream collected a win and two placings from her juvenile campaign and had hinted at a triumphant return when she was successful at the recent Te Teko trials.

She was placed midfield and one off the fence at Taupo by rider Matt Cameron and she found the fast lane in the straight to let down strongly for a comfortable win.

“She's so honest and she's got the experience behind her,” he said. “She travelled nicely enough on a track that was a bit off and she was too tough in the end.”

Darci's Dream finished too well for the pacemaker Queen Of Navarre with Tres Rapide, who missed the jump, roaring home from last on the turn to take third off Consensus.

Darci Brahma was selected and purchased by David Ellis for $1.1 million.  Trained by Te Akau's Mark Walker, he won five Group 1 races (in New Zealand and in Australia) for prize money of $1.3 million.  He was Champion 2YO, Champion 3YO and Champion Sprinter/Miler as a 4YO. For the upcoming breeding season, Darci Brahma stands for $30,000 at The Oaks Stud.
