Espionage an Exciting Addition

In the colours of Coolmore Stud, dual Group Three winner Espionage (4 h Zoustar – In Times Of War, by Street Cry) had an exhibition gallop between races on Thursday 11 December at Ellerslie.

In a solo exhibition, with Opie Bosson ONZM aboard, Espionage ran 800m in 46.8 and final 600m in 33.7.

Recently arrived at Te Akau's Matamata stable from Australia, Espionage is scheduled to contest the Group and Listed trial before racing commences on Friday 19 December at Matamata, and may look to resume in the $90,000 Open Handicap 1200 metres on 1 January at Ellerslie, with an eye towards the Group 1 Railway.

Lightly raced, winning two of his eight starts, Espionage recorded victories as a two-year-old in the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) and Group 3 Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate (1000m).
