Fiscal the Flyer
5 May, 2014
Few weekend go by where Mark Walker doesn't prepare a winner - or more - at Kranji. Last weekend saw a training double and the winning has continued through to this weekend.
Fiscal Wings can be a hard horse to follow however on Sunday he produced an excellent performance to win for the second time in Singapore. The picture shows his previous win.
Taking his place in the first race on the Kranji programme, a Class 5 1200m, the 5YO jumped well and raced on the pace. Seizing the initiative, young Singapore apprentice W Chan used the benefit of his 4kg claim to maximum advantage and guided the horse we know as "Rupert" to a 2.5 length win.
A son of Fusiachi Pegasus, Fiscal Wings has now earned close to $90,000 for his owners since travelling to Singapore - he was purchased by David Ellis from the Karaka Sale for a syndicate of loyal owners - included in that syndicate also was five time black type winner Burgundy who will soon enter his second season at Cambridge Stud.
