24 September, 2020
Te Akau Racing is pleased to announce that riders for our Group 1 tangerine trio has been confirmed:
Te Akau stable rider Opie Bosson will take the ride aboard Prise De Fer, last season's Group 2 Rich Hill Mile winner who is also a Group 1 performer. Prise De Fer is a fresh entrant to the Hawkes' Bay triple crown series.

Troy Harris, a previous Group 1 winning rider for Te Akau, has been engaged to ride reigning Horse of the Year Melody Belle. Melody Belle has recently arrived back from Australia and has settled in beautifully at home. A trial winner this week, she is a late entry for the Group 1 Windsor Park Plate - a race she won last season.

Four time Group 1 winner Avantage will again be ridden by Danielle Johnson who has forged a successful relationship with the daughter of Fastnet Rock.

Te Akau is proud to have three top line horses in the tangerine contesting the second leg of the
Group 1 Hawkes Bay Triple Crown.
