Happy Birthday to You

It's 1 August and that is a very special day for every Te Akau horse - it's celebration day as all of our special horses officially turn one year older, no matter what their actual birth date was.
Our weanlings become yearlings, while our yearlings turn two and become eligible to race (they are not permitted to race before they are two years of age).
Our exciting juveniles, or two year olds, all turn three and have some iconic age races in their sights e.g. the Group 1 NZ 2000 Guineas, 1000 Guineas, Levin Classic, Oaks, Karaka Mile, Derby and more.
Yes every horse today becomes one year older -
