Happy Christmas Greetings

Good morning everyone!

It has dawned a stunning day here at Te Akau Stud - and we are so much looking forward to spending the day together.

We know that there will be huge excitement in matamata with Jason and Stacey's children Nola and Lane and of course Pam and Tom's Jack, Archie and Meg!  In Singapore we are certain that Alexis and Zavier had Mark and Julia up early - but then trainers are always up early!

David has a huge turkey that he prepared yesterday and that will go on the weber later this morning.  All the usual trimmings - new potatoes, fresh garden minted peas, cranberry sauce - followed by pavlova and chocolate log with fresh strawberries, raspberries and blue berries (don't forget the brandy snaps)!  Yes everything we need to celebrate the day in good tradition (hmmmm need to fit Boxing day clothes tho)!

Karyn picked up her mother Sylvia from the airport yesterday and she is with us for a week and Julia-Rose came down from Auckland while Lydia is in London and heads for Budapest and then onto Salzburg on Boxing Day with friends.  Daughter Sarah came down on Christmas Eve and we are catching up with the soon-to-be wed Joanna and Leon on the 27th!

All in all it will be a fairly low key day as we will be busy racing in earnest over the next weeks and then of course in a few days, the yearling inspections are underway again.
