It's A Magic Kind Of Sale Day

There is definitely 'magic in the air' at the Magic Millions' yearling sale! Do you want to be part of Team Te Akau? Have you always dreamed of having a share in a racehorse but you just don't know how to get involved? Is it difficult? Is it expensive? What do I do next?

Before the sale that kicks off today the Te Akau team has already inspected over 500 yearlings in the Hunter Valley 3-4 weeks ago. David Ellis alongside Marcus Corban, and they're very impressed with the quality they saw.  Together with our Racing Manager Reece Trumper, they have been back at the sale complex on the Gold Coast since Saturday, taking second and third looks at the horses they like, and inspecting others for the first time.

From only a handful of horses Te Akau has bought in the last two years from this sale we've struck gold - horses including triple Group 1 winner and Champion 3YO of the Year Imperatriz, and Champion 2YO, Group 1 winner and now stallion Sword of State. Last year we bought the exciting Sky on Fire, already a two-year-old stakes' winner this season.

The sale action doesn't stop here, it's just beginning! - the team has also been very busy inspecting yearlings for the Karaka Sale and have seen some top-quality individuals already.  The entire team including our senior vet Dr Douglas Black, has been putting an enormous amount of time into researching the catalogue and our inspections are well underway.

Te Akau has a share in an exciting young horse for everyone. You can spend as much, or as little, as you like - it's easy to be involved in our 13 time Champion Stable in New Zealand or Singapore.

After the sale, your horse is educated, learning all the necessary skills to be a future racehorse - before heading in to our top class training facilities in Matamata. Some of our horses also have the opportunity to go international to our Singapore trainer Donna Logan at Kranji.  We have some other exciting news due soon too on Australian racing, so watch this space.
