It's Karaka Millions' Eve

NZB reports:

NZB's 2024 TAB Karaka Millions raceday will set Ellerslie Racecourse alight tomorrow, where our sales graduates will take to the track to compete for a share in the $1 million plus features.

This Saturday 27 January, New Zealand's most lucrative sporting event will see the running of the:

$1 million TAB Karaka Millions 2YO (1200m)

$1.5 million Karaka Millions 3YO (1600m)

$1 million Elsdon Park Aotearoa Classic (Open 4YO 1600m)  ... and ...

Three other quality Group races

The twilight meeting is just 12 months after yearlings made their sale ring debut, with them now eligible to compete in the million dollar two-year-old feature. The 2024 running is shaping up to be an exciting event, with barriers drawn and fields finalised.

Another twelve months later and Karaka graduates get their second chance at the pie, in the $1.5 million TAB Karaka Millions 3YO (1600m). It will be a rematch for several, last year's Karaka Millions 2YO first and second placegetters lining up alongside some very smart Group One proven three-year-olds.

The TAB Karaka Millions is by far the highlight on the domestic racing calendar each year. Whether you are indulging in the spine-tingling atmosphere at Ellerslie, or watching from afar, the action-packed night of racing will be sure to set thousands of hearts racing.
