It's Love Online
7 March, 2014
Hello - my name is Iffy! Actually I am not in the least bit iffy! I mean - what does iffy really mean? Well according to the thesaurus in my paddock - it means something like unpredictable, incalculable, whimsical - even problematic! Not me!!
To you, my future owner - let me tell you a bit about myself as I have heard that this online dating is the way to go. Once you know me, you will fall in love with me for sure and want to spend our lives together!!
I am a young, bay lass with a rural background. I have long dark hair, a terrific physique and eyes that you will get lost in! I was brought up outside of Auckland and whilst I don't really remember my Dad (he was a workaholic in the stallion barn) my mother spent her time at home bringing up her two fillies.
Being the independent type, I was off to Karaka as soon as I could and I was thrilled when David Ellis decided I fitted his bill - I can't believe though he only had to pay $45,000 for me!!
I have a really easy going, playful nature and am a family person - my role model is Mum's half sister, The Lions Roar. She did a fair bit of that when winning both the Group 2 Championship Stakes at Ellerslie and the Group 3 Ladies' Mile there too. They all say she was amazing in the Group 1 NZ Oaks when runner up, as she was too in the Group 2 Queen Elizabeth Stakes. She was darned fine when third in the Group 1 Avondale Cup, they tell me.
I have a lot to live up to but I have everything going for me - I REALLY want to be like her - she was the Joint Top Filly on the 1995/96 NZ 3YO Free Handicap and anything she did, I am going to try and do better!
After she retired she had my cousins Growl and Leeu - Growl won eight races, three at Group level in Australia while Leeu won the Listed Champagne Stakes and Listed Ray Coupland Stakes in the south.
While I haven't spent much time in the city yet, I am looking forward to becoming acquainted with places like Ellerslie, Trentham, Te Rapa and Riccarton as my new career path develops. My ambitions in life include collecting shining trophies and sashes and overseeing podium presentations.
My interests include fashion and the latest stakes' winning rugs have particular appeal. I am about to commence my tertiary education at the University of Te Akau under the tutelage of James and the team. You wait, I intend to be the break-in star!
I'd love you to love me - and I am available to meet for a coffee any time - if you want to get more serious - a 10% share in me is only $4500 plus GST and I can promise you a future filled with fun and excitement - oh and yes, I am low maintenance I promise.
I am a popular girl so you better not hesitate! See you soon - Iffy! xx
