It's Win 40
Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker who is currently home for a short stay in New Zealand saw the winning continue on Sunday at Kranji from the lounge at Te Akau Stud.  So the raceday management was down to Gus Clutterbuck and the team on site ...

With Star Genius and Eaton's Gold running bold races for third in their respective events - it came down to Race 11 on the programme where the highly fancied En Civil was to do battle with $40 outsider and stablemate Iking.  As racing often can do, a surprise was thrown up, as the third least favoured runner Iking was driven home for a close photo finish.

Iking wins

It was the second win for the season, and the ninth of his career, for four-kilo claiming apprentice Salim Yusof who showed a cool head under pressure to deliver the result for the Fairdeal Middle Kingdom Stable.

Sunday's victory came at the 45th Singapore start for the consistent galloper who took his stakes' earnings to close to S$300,000 - with six wins now and 18 other top four placings.

Iking became Te Akau trainer Mark Walker's 40th winner for the season and he maintains a narrow lead on the Trainers' Premiership as the season enters its sixth month.  Mark has also trained 40 second and 45 third placgetters - our team is on fire!  With over S$2 million in prizemoney earned for our owners already, it looks like being another bumper year for the 2015 Champion Trainer of Singapore.
