Love Triangle Ready for Hawke's Bay

Beautifully bred filly Love Triangle is ready for her first crack at stakes' company in the Group 3 Gold Trail Stakes at Hastings on Saturday.

The Encosta De Lago filly, who races in the distinctive dark blue colours of Coolmore, showed plenty of class with a debut win at Ruakaka late last month. Co-trainer Jamie Richards reported to www.theinformant.co.nz that she had done everything right in the two weeks since.

“She's come through the run at Ruakaka very well,” he said. “She's a filly who's going to get even better with time, but we're very happy with the way she's going and her trackwork in the last few weeks. She's done everything we've asked. We're looking forward to Saturday.”

Saturday's Gold Trail, a $70,000 race for three-year-old fillies over 1200 metres, is likely to feature an eagerly anticipated clash between Love Triangle and Serious Satire, a highly impressive winner at Hastings on the opening day of the spring carnival.
