Magnificent Night at Matamata

Oh what a night!  Late December back in '63 .... maybe it is now ...

Oh what a night! 15 August at our race track home ...

Yes last night Racing Matamata held its annual awards' night.  This is an event that celebrates success and honours the stand-out horses and humans associated with the Matamata training centre - where over 800 horses are trained.  The awards are a very special evening and they mark the end of each season.

The turnout if always fantastic and the Chairman of the Matamata Racing Club Dennis Ryan and his team once again did a great job - every award was presented by a Club sponsor or Life Member and Te Akau Racing was overwhelmed to receive NINE of the eleven awards presented - wow - such an honour for the whole team!

It was very special too, to have so many of our wonderful Matamata stable team join us for the special night at the racecourse ... and our winners were:
