Matamata Thursday Trackwork

Bounding followed her brilliant Tuesday gallop with another sound piece of work in preparation for Ellerslie.

On a good plough, Bounding (K Jones) began steadily to cover 1000m in 1:10.4 and quickened from the 600m in an impressive 35.1. The Railway Stakes winner is cherry-ripe for Saturday's Mr Tiz Trophy.

Kick Buttowski (S McKay) and Vettel (P McKay) worked nicely over 1000m in 1:03.3 and 35.6 for the final 600m. Quintastic (Donnelly) and My Savvy Boy (Blair) covered the same distance in 1:06 and 39. Deebee Don (P Turner) stretched out over 1000m with an unnamed Sahkee's Secret gelding (Forbes), covering the distance in 1:09.3 and 36.

High Praise (A Jones) went in company with Sophisticate (Coleman) over 1200m in 1:20.2 and 35.6 for the final 600m. Powerplaya (B Grylls) was not after time as he strode over 1200m in 1:26.6 and 40.3, while stablemate Xanadu (Coleman) did similar work in 1:26.3 and 40.

La Adelita (Hercock) and Sneaky Feelings (Misbah) galloped on the plough in preparation for Matamata next Wednesday and were timed over 1200m in 1:18 and came home the final 600m in 36.5. Stablemates Riverenza (Hercock) and Osmunda (Misbah) covered the same ground in 1:18.4 and 36.7 and will also head to the home track meeting, as will Rockfast (Misbah), who galloped in company with Davey Crocket (Hercock) over 800m in a time of 52.2 and 38.3.

Also headed for the local meeting, Rivertaine Coup (Sapsworth) and Ratmanski (Wilson) went 1000m in 1:10 and 41. Speedy Jax (Wratten) will also line up at home after galloping this morning with Queen's Rose (Sapsworth) in 1:10 and 41.1.

Thrive (Miller) and Equanimity (Misbah) worked easily over 1000m in 1:04.6 and 36.1 as they regain fitness for autumn assignments. Orinto (Hercock) and Clos De Tart (Misbah) worked up 800m in 52.1 and 36.4 the final 600m. I'll'ava'alf (A Jones) looked well as he covered 1000m in 1:02.3 and 37.2.
