Matamata Thursday Trackwork

Sir Darci looked fit and well for his middle-distance debut in Saturday's Manawatu Classic as he strode out comfortably in training at Matamata.

On the plough Sir Darci (Myers) was kept to three-quarter-pace and was timed over his last 1400m in 1:41.5, with the 1200m in 1:16.2 and quickening marginally for a final 600m in 42.3.

Centre Stage (O'Sullivan) and Dilly (Wong) galloped 1000m, stopping the clock at 1:04 and 38.4 for the final 600m. Stablemate Cast King (Blair) completed his weekend preparation over 1200m in 1:23.5, quickening from the 600m in 38. Persuasive (K Jones) strode out over 1000m in 1:09 and 40.2, while Prince Bruno (Blair) ran in from the 800m in a smart 48.4.

All Decked Out (Forbes), who is coming to hand well, was allowed to stride over 800m with an unnamed Darci Brahma gelding (Misbah) in 56.2 and 41 for the final 600m.

Also from the Bridgman stable, Bronte Lass (Miller) covered 1200m in 1:18.2, 1:03.5 for the 1000m and the final 600m in 36.1. Sneaky Feelings (Misbah) and Stylee (Miller) did similar work in 1:20.4, 1:04.5 and 36.8, while Maestro (Forbes) and Davey Crockett (Misbah) covered 1000m in 1:06.4 and 37.8. Recent debut winner La Adelita (Miller) was in hand as she covered 1000m in 1:11.8 and 41.6.

Yolanda (P Ormsby) and Day Dream (Samuelsson) strode out nicely over their final 600m in 40.4. O'Reilly's Gold (P Brosnan) was sent over 1000m in 1:04 and 36.2, while Tiara Concerto (Sapsworth) and My Locket (Gibbs) stopped the clock at 1:05.3 and 38 over 1000m.

On the all-weather track, La Quinta Gold (Brett) galloped over 1000m in 1:12.4, with fog preventing the timing of sectionals. He's Cool (Autridge) covered the same distance in 1:08.4 and 39.
