Matamata Tuesday Trackwork

Galloping on the course proper, which was in the slow range with the markers 20 metres out, Queen's Rose (Sapsworth) and Alice Webb Ellis (K Myers) looked fit and well for the rating 85 event over 1200m at Ellerslie on Saturday as they galloped over 1000m in 1:06.9 and got home the final 600m in 38.9.  La Adelita (Myers) and Bronte Lass (Cameron) did similar work in 1:07.6 and 38.0.

Also on the course proper, Cody Cat (Weatherley) and Hey Mister (K Myers) were evenly matched as they comfortably covered 1000m in 1:08.4 and 40.5.  Sir Elmo (Grylls) galloped over ground and was timed from the 1200m in 1:24.3 and strode out the last 600m in 43.8.

On the sand, Oaks winner Miss Mossman (Grylls) went a nice 800m in 56.0 and the last 600m in 40.0.  Attention Seeker (R Jones) strode out 1000m in 1:14.0.  Levantos (Hillis) covered the same distance in 1:10.3 and 38.7 while stablemate Smartly (Hillis) went a similar time in 1:10.6 and 39.5.  Dreamer (Samuelson) galloped over 1000m in 1:04.0 and 36.8 for the final 600m.

Agent Ziva (Conder) was only timed the last 600m of her gallop in 37.0.

Belleza Irlandezza (K McQuade) went 1000m on sand in 1:12.0 and 42.0 with stablemate Kindaleica (Grylls) covering the same distance in 1:04.6 and 37.4.

Wairaka (Coleman) did similar work over 1000m in 1:04.0 and 36.4, while Nothing Trivial (K Myers) ran her last 600m in 38.9.

On the all-weather Quintette (J Price) and Clos De Tart (K Price) covered 1000m in 1:07.5 and 38.5.  Makarska (Jones) galloped with Irish (Coleman) letting down over 800m in 53.0 and 39.08.  Martini Lass and Vincent Street (Hillis) did similar work in 53.2 and 37.3.

Villiers (Sapsworth) and Sultry Assassin (Wratten) were strong over 600m in 40.8.  Show No Emotion (Allen) stretched out over 1200m in 1:25.0 and 40.2.  Also from the stable, Prince Henry (Miller) went in company with Flirty Gertey (Hercock) over 1000m in 1:08.5 and 39.0.

Sir Darci (Cameron) and Rapid Gain (Hercock) covered the same distance in 1:06.5 and 38.5.  Atua (Miller) and Smashing (Samuelson) went 1000m in 1:04.3 and 36.8 while Merrily (Hercock) and Alchemy's Flight (Allen) galloped the distance in 1:05.8.  Rockfast (Miller) and Bordeaux (Richards) strode the 1000m in 1:08.0 and 38.0.  Scandinavian (Miller) worked solo over 1000m in 1:07.1 and 39.0.
