Matamata Tuesday Trackwork

Impressive last start winner Tomorrowland looked set to continue that form when he and stablemate Capone galloped at Matamata this morning.

Working on a dead course proper with the markers out 15 metres, Tomorrowland (N Waddell) and Capone (Bosson) looked comfortable as they cut out 1200m in 1:19.5 and the final 600m in 39.

Fascinate Me (Coleman) and Landed Gentry (Hutton), juveniles in the O'Sullivan/Scott team, hit out over 800m in 54.4 and got home the final 600m in 36.5.

Progressive mare Persuasive (Wong) galloped 1000m with Orange Peel (King) in a strong 1:05.2 and 37.2. Tiara (Hercock) worked alone over 1200m in 1:17.7 and ran the final 600m in 37, while stablemates Osmunda (Bosson) and No Tricks (Cameron) easily covered the distance in 1:19.2 and 37.2.

Canterbury Stakes candidate Purcentage (Grylls) was paired with maiden Douro (Sapsworth) over the same distance in 1:05.8 and 36.7, with Purcentage  having the advantage on the line.

Liberty Heights (Dowling) and Saoirse (R Jones) went a nice 1000m in 1:03 and 38.1. Also from the Noble stable, Waitoki Flower (R Jones) and Always On My Mind (Grylls) did similar work in 1:04.3 and 38.4, while Rose of Virginia (Dowling) and Sophie's Dream (Leveque) galloped 1200m in 1:17.2 and got home in 38.

Windborne (Lammas) and the Postponed-Promissory filly (Cameron) prepared for their debut assignments as they galloped over 800m in 54.8 and 38.7.

Graphic (Ormsby) looked to be coming to hand nicely as he covered 1200m in 1:25 and the last 600m in 38.9 with an unnamed stablemate.  Alice Webb Ellis (Rhodes) worked with Living the Dream (Sapsworth) over 1200m in 1:22.6 and 38 while Jubilate (Coleman) and Sultry Assassin (Sapsworth) were keen as they began their work from the 1200m mark, covering the distance in 1:15.4 and 38.2 for the final 600m.

Juggernaut Rock (K Price) went solo over ground and was timed from the 1200m in 1:23.8 and 39.9 for the final 600m. Style is Eternal (C Ormsby) was comfortable doing similar work in 1:24.6 and 39. Peach Bellini (A Jones) and Odin's Choice (Jones) were not after time as they completed 600m in 39.9.

Later in the session, Brown Girl (Sapsworth) and Crystalight (A Jones) were in hand as they galloped over 1200m in 1:23.7 and finished the final 600m in 38.6.

On the all-weather track Sworntoperfection (K Shailer) looked fit and well as she galloped 800m in 48.2. He's No Saint (Hong) and Keepherinmind (Wong) stretched out over 1200m in 1:11.2 and 40.2, while Miss Mossman worked a shade faster in 1:09 and 39.5.

Funhouse (Rhodes) ran 1000m on his second round in 1:06.3 and 39.2 with Lookatmepins (Sapsworth) ran the same distance in 1:07.4 and 38.5. In Memory Of (K Shailer) was clocked over the 1200m in 1:14.2 and 40.2. Levantos (Hillis) and Nothing Trivial (Leveque) covered the same distance in 1:21, doing their best work at the line as they ran the final 600m in 37.5.

Beckham (J McKay and Kickbuttowski (S McKay) went 1000m in 1:07.3 and 38 in hand. Jagger (Leveque) easily covered 1200m in 1:11.1 and 39.2. I'll'ava'alf (A Jones) was not after time covering 800m in 56.6.

On the sand Daifuku (Coleman) worked strongly over 1000m in 1:10.5 and 38, while Victory Dragon (Lammas) galloped the same distance in 1:07 and 37. Makarska (Coleman) hit out over 1200m in 1:22.3 and 38.4 while Wisecrack floated over the distance in 1:10 and 37.9.
