Matamata Tuesday Trackwork

Telegraph candidates Whosyourmaster and Tomorrowland highlighted their readiness for the Group 1 sprint with strong work this morning. Patchy fog prevented the timing of sectionals throughout the morning.

Railway runner up Whosyourmaster carried co-trainer Lance O'Sullivan through smart work over 1000m on the plough in 1:01.2. Race rival Tomorrowland (Waddell) was doing his best work on the line and was timed in an easy 1:28 for the 1200m.

Galloping on the plough Fix (K Jones) and Jackpot (Ormsby) were well matched over 1000m in 1:01.8. Beauty Giant (Dowling) was paired with Morena (Grylls) as they worked over ground and were timed in 1:17.5 for the 1200m and 1:01.8 the final 1000m.

Donnie Brasco (J McKay) and Alvesta (S McKay) galloped 1:01.9 and took time honours for the final 600m, coming home in 35.5. She's Samashing (Ormsby) covered 1000m in 1:04.3 and stable mate Stella's Honour (Ormsby) did similar work in 1:02.5.

Centre Stage (Wong) and Sniper (King) went together over 1000m in 1:06.3. Also from the stable, Orange Peel (Hutton) went the distance in 1:04.5 as did Fascination Street (O'Sullivan) and Kaleidoscope (R Jones) in a strong 1:02. Deema (Grylls) and Purcentage (Sapsworth) worked in 1:04.2 while Moneymakehersmile (Brosnan) went solo over 1000m in 1:08.2.

Others over 1000m include Beckham (J McKay) and Vettel (S McKay) in 1:01.4 and 36.3, Telling (Roff) in 1:06.4, Capone (Waddell) in 1:03 and 36.5. Parisian Jewel (Cameron) galloped a steady 800m in 52 and 39.7.

1200m on the plough: Chazelle (Blair) 1:13.8, Sultry Assassin (Sapsworth) with Tiara Concerto (Grylls) in 1:15.6, Aotearower (K Jones) and Zadiffra in 1:21.2, Impulsion (Grylls) in 1:22.1 and 37.6 the final 600m, Dubai Shuffle (Sapsworth) in 1:19.2 and 38, Warner (Holmes) with Cayo Coco (Hong) in 1:26 and 1:09 the final 1000m, and Quest (Brosnan) with Apache Fireworks (Roff) in 1:18.5 and 37.4.

On the all-weather: Muscat Hills (A Jones) galloped 1000m in 1:03.7 and 36.8 the final 600m. The trio of Whatz Occuring (Leveque), Jagger (Hillis) and Harry Klassen (A Jones) went 1000m in 1:02 and 37.3.
