Matamata Tuesday Trackwork

Form runners Irish Moon and Perfect Fit underlined their fitness for Te Rapa on the weekend when they were paired in a smart gallop at Matamata this morning.

Working on the all-weather track, Irish Moon (Luke) and Perfect Fit (Wratten) had pace on throughout 1000m, cutting out the distance in 1:00.2 and finishing off with 600m in a smart 35.3. The Kelso-trained pair are both in good order for feature events on the Cambridge Jockey Club programme, with Irish Moon chasing his fourth straight win in the open sprint and Perfect Fit a starter in the Cambridge Breeders' Stakes.
