On Exhibition at Tauranga

Egyptian Queen (3f Zoustar – Hieroglyphics, by Conatus) and Sister Ping (2f Street Boss – Illadore, by Lope De Vega) had an exhibition gallop between races on 2 January at Tauranga.
Ridden by Warren Kennedy, Egyptian Queen travelled on the outside of Sister Ping, with Niranjan Parmar aboard, beginning quietly from the 1000 metres in 1:02.6, 800m in 48.0, and last 600m in 35.1.
Both worked well in preparation to race at the return meeting (Sunday 14 January) at Ellerslie.
In training for Brent & Cherry Taylor, and Faith Taylor, Sister Ping looked good winning two of three trials before finishing third on debut to stable-mate Maracatu (Ardrossan) in the Maiden 2YO 1100 metres on 2 December at Te Rapa.
Sister Ping is preparing to contest the $45,000 2YO 1200 metres on Sunday 14 January a Ellerslie.
Egyptian Queen won the Pearl Series Maiden Fillies & Mares 1200 metres (eligible $20,000 bonus) easing down by four and a quarter lengths on 9 November at Taupo, before finishing third in $80,000 The O’Leary’s Fillies Stakes (Listed, 1340m).
Owned by the Te Akau She Reigns Racing Partnership (Mgr: Karyn Fenton-Ellis MNZM), Egyptian Queen was bought by Te Akau principal David Ellis CNZM at the Karaka 2022 Book 1 Sale, paying $220,000 from the draft of Westbury Stud.
Egyptian Queen is preparing for the $55,000 3YO 1200 metres on Sunday 14 January a Ellerslie.
