Affirmation - or Rocky as he is lovingly known - is certainly one of our Te Akau stable stars in Singapore.

Purchased by David Ellis, Rocky is a son of Fastnet Rock out of Affirmed Lane and was a foundation horse when Te Akau established its Singapore stable.  Joining Mark Walker shortly after he headed to Singapore in 2010, Rocky has been a faithful, honest and injury-free campaigner ever since.

The striking grey is now an 8YO and today will have his 79th start - he has won eight races and placed 15 times, earning his owners $313,465.  It has been interesting to watch him mature as in fact his coat has become a whiter shade of grey (if that makes sense).

As Rocky nears retirement the great news is that he will continue to enjoy life at Kranji as a Clerk of the Course horse.  With age of course comes cunning and to keep Rocky mentally fresh, Mark has a few tricks up his sleeve - one of those is schooling Rocky over the jumps which he adores - we thought you'd enjoy seeing him in action - of course with the supervision of "assistant trainer" Zavier Walker!
