Having a terrific season, My Lips Are Sealed (4 m Ace High – Tellmeaboutit, by Tavistock) had an exhibition gallop between races on 31 January at Te Rapa.
A dual winner in September, My Lips Are Sealed, who finished runner-up in the Group 3 Eulogy Stakes (1600m) last season at Trentham, returned to the venue for a dominant victory in the Group 3 Phar Lap Trophy (1600m) on 4 January.
Working solo in the exhibition and ridden by Craig Grylls, My Lips Are Sealed went 1000m in 59.7, last 600m in a polished 34.4, looked in great condition and was smooth in her galloping action.
A four-time winner, My Lips Are Sealed is preparing for the $120,000 Listed Lisa Chittick Champagne Stakes (1400m) on Saturday 15 February at Matamata, ahead of the $200,000 Group 3 Wentwood Grange Cuddle Stakes (1600m) on Saturday 22 March at Trentham.
The first sales' representative of dual Group One winner Ace High to be sold at Karaka, My Lips Are Sealed was purchased as a yearling by David Ellis CNZM for $160,000 at the Karaka 2022 Book 1 Sale, from the draft of Rich Hill Stud, and is owned by Te Akau Not A Word Racing Partnership (Mgr: Karyn Fenton-Ellis MNZM).
Becoming an increasingly valuable commercial breeding proposition, My Lips Are Sealed has now won $178,610 in prize money to date.
